Are you a member of the university and enjoy running, or would you like to take on a new challenge?

Then take this opportunity to join the Fulda University of Applied Sciences half marathon team and take part in the 31st Fulda Half Marathon! To make you visible as a team member, we will give you a sleeveless university functional shirt as a gift!

Each runner starts as an individual runner, i.e. there is no separate team run. Among all those who register for the half marathon under the team name "Hochschule Fulda", the four fastest runners will automatically be grouped together as a team and their times added together; this will be followed by the next four fastest runners, and so on.

The start and finish is at the Fulda City Stadium (Johannisstraße 45). Timing is done via a timing chip integrated into the race number. This must be attached intact to the chest.

Registration and reimbursement of costs:

You have to register individually via the organiser's homepage for the 31st Fulda Marathon. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email from the organiser or the timekeeping service provider Time Motion with your details. Please check that these are complete and correct and forward the email directly (by the registration deadline: 23 August 2026) to anita.schleicher@hs-fulda.de (as proof of registration so that you can receive a sleeveless university running shirt as part of the team). This will also provide us with your email address so that we can send you further organisational information (e.g. when you can collect your shirt from us). Please use your HS email address so that you can be directly identified as an HS member, or send a copy of your student or MA ID card.

We will reimburse all HS members ?10 of the participation fee, regardless of when you register, provided that you register with the organiser for the team half marathon with the team name "Hochschule Fulda" (confirmation of registration counts as proof). After the race, everyone who took part will receive a reimbursement form from us by email, which you must fill out and return to us in order to receive your reimbursement.

(Late registrants will only receive a refund if they run in the HS shirt, are in the team photo and send the registration confirmation unsolicited to anita.schleicher@hs-fulda.de within 2 days after the run).

Important organisational information:

Before the race, we will meet at 8:15 a.m. at the stadium; here you will receive your starting documents, which we will collect for the HS team the evening before. The meeting point is in the stands (when you arrive through the main entrance to the stadium, walk about 80 metres to the left; you will receive a map by email). You will recognise the university's beach flag and our HS banner. At 8:45 a.m. we will take our team photo. Please be on time, it would be a shame if not everyone was in the photo!
